3 for Thursday (#51):

To commemorate my tour of (jury) duty here's this week 3 for Thursday:

1. Have you ever been called for jury duty and were you empaneled? If so, was it a criminal or civil case (details, please).

2. Massachusetts has a "One Day or One Trial" jury system. Even if you don't serve on a jury, the Commonwealth can't call you back until 3 years from that date. Does your state work like that?

3. Have you ever blown off (or thought about blowing off) jury duty?

4. The closest court house to me is 5 minutes away, but I'm usually summoned to a court an hour from where I live. Sound familiar?

BONUS: Have you ever had to appear in court in your own defense, or as a plaintiff of witness (on behalf of someone else)?
